Lodhi Garden is a beautiful garden built in the southern area of Delhi city. It is situated on Lodhi Road, 2 kilometers east of Safdarjung Tomb. Earlier the name of this garden was Lady Willington Park. It is also home to the tombs of many rulers of the Lodhi dynasty which is an architectural marvel.
History
The history of the Lodhi Dynasty aka Lodhi Garden dates back to 1444, when the tomb of Mohammad Shah, ruler of the Sayyid dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, was built here by his son and the last ruler of the dynasty, Ala-ud-din Alam Shah.
